Frequently asked questions
What is ZIVO Sports?
ZIVO Sports is a free guide to where live, upcoming, and recent games can be watched across MLB, NBA, MLS, the FIBA Women's World Cup, and Formula 1. For each game it lists the sourced ways to watch — a regional sports network, a league streaming app, or a national broadcaster — and the region each route applies to.
Does ZIVO stream the games itself?
No. ZIVO doesn't host, stream, or play any video, and it doesn't touch DRM. It resolves to a legitimate service and links you there.
How much does ZIVO cost?
ZIVO is free and has no purchases or advertising, and we don't sell personal information.
Can ZIVO tell me whether my exact city or ZIP code is blacked out?
Not yet. ZIVO resolves availability at country level. Where an answer depends on a finer market — the exact territory a team claims, which is keyed to ZIP codes — ZIVO labels it market-dependent rather than guessing. Address-level resolution would need licensed territory data ZIVO doesn't use today.
Why does the same game show different options for different people?
Because sports rights are territorial. A team's regional network holds local rights, the league sells national windows, and the league's streaming app applies its own blackout rules. Where you're watching from changes which of those routes applies.
Why can't I watch my local team on the league's streaming app?
League streaming apps are generally built for out-of-market viewing. In-market games are blacked out on the app because the team's regional network is expected to carry them in its territory. That's a rule of the package, not a missing stream.
Is a blackout the same as the game not being available?
No. A blackout blocks one way of watching, not every way. A game blacked out on a league's streaming app may still be on a regional sports network or a national broadcaster.
Where do ZIVO's answers come from?
From public sports-data sources, such as MLB's Stats API and TheSportsDB, combined with versioned blackout and carriage rules that each cite a source. ZIVO doesn't scrape streaming-service catalogs.
Does ZIVO cover leagues other than MLB?
Yes. ZIVO currently covers MLB, NBA, MLS, the FIBA Women's World Cup, and Formula 1, resolving each league's availability separately rather than applying one league's rules to another.
How does ZIVO use my information?
To run and improve the service: your account, the teams and games you save, your reminders, and your service preferences, plus product analytics on how the website is used. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
